01Scope of this disclaimer

This disclaimer governs your use of the Supar Health platform, the Supar® test, and the Supar® Health Trajectory Report. By ordering a test or using the platform, you acknowledge that you have read and understood the terms below.

02Regulatory status of the suPAR assay

The suPAR assay used by Supar Health is a CE-IVD certified in vitro diagnostic biomarker. The assay has been validated for clinical use under European regulatory frameworks, with documented analytical performance specifications. It is used in hospitals and clinical settings worldwide.

03Regulatory status of the Health Trajectory Report

The Supar® Health Trajectory Report - the platform that contextualizes your individual suPAR result against population norms and healthspan trajectory - is a wellness assessment intended for use by qualified healthcare professionals as part of a broader clinical picture.

It is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. Clinical performance evaluation for IVDR submission of the reporting layer is ongoing, and partner clinics will be notified of any material changes to regulatory status.

04The role of clinical interpretation

A suPAR result, taken alone and outside of clinical context, can be misleading. Every Supar® test made available through Supar Health is interpreted by a qualified clinician within a doctor-patient relationship. Interpretation, intervention, and follow-up sit with the responsible clinician who knows your full health picture.

If your result raises questions about your health, the answers come from your physician - not from a software output. Where you have ordered a home kit, a partner clinician reviews your result and provides interpretation through the platform. Where you have been tested at a partner clinic, your treating physician interprets the result directly.

05What this test is not

The Supar® test is not:

  • A diagnostic test for any specific disease
  • A screening tool for cancer, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, or any other condition
  • A substitute for a clinical history, physical examination, or other diagnostic workup
  • A substitute for the clinical judgment of a qualified physician
  • A replacement for routine preventive care
  • An emergency medical service - if you are experiencing a medical emergency, contact local emergency services immediately

06How to interpret a high or low result

A high suPAR result is information, not a diagnosis. It indicates that your underlying chronic inflammatory load is elevated relative to population norms for your age and sex. The clinically appropriate response is a conversation with your physician about possible drivers, whether further evaluation is warranted, and what targeted interventions might be effective.

A low or in-range suPAR result does not exclude the presence of any specific disease and is not a substitute for age-appropriate clinical screening.

07No physician-patient relationship is created by the platform

Use of Supar Health and access to its content does not create a physician-patient relationship between you and Supar Health. The clinical relationship is established with the qualified clinician who reviews your result and discusses it with you. Supar Health is the platform provider, not the medical provider.

08Eligibility

The Supar® test is intended for use by adults (18 years and older). We do not currently offer testing for children or adolescents.

09Updates to this disclaimer

We may update this disclaimer from time to time to reflect changes in the regulatory status of the assay, changes to the platform, or other operational changes. Material updates will be communicated to active users and to partner clinics. The current version is dated at the top of this page.
